In the HEART of L.A
I meant to post this the other day. Our neighbor heard about this park in downtown Los Angeles of all places, on the Huell Howser Road Show. So we went there on Fathers Day week-end. I think this picture is a pretty good representation of the whole park. Couldn't believe it, it was just beautiful. The whole park was pretty much like this, dark and cool. Do you think I should've tried to lighten it up a little bit. TIA

I don't know if lightening it up would help. it's kind of hard to tell what's going on in this photo. it looks like a beautiful park though!

You could try playing with it and adjusting levels a little. If you just lighten it, you might lose some of the detail in the already light part. The park looks beautiful!

I like it as is. I'm afraid if you tried lightening, you would lose some detail AND that nice cool feeling you captured.
Hmmm, I don't know. I guess I'd just play with it and go with the version I liked better.
If you like it, then it's perfect. But for me, I would lighten it a little then erase back the left side that is already lighter.

I kind of like it as is. Any chance you could visit the park at a different time of day and see if a different light would help?
I think if the park was dark and cool this is a good representation and leave it as is :)

wonderful shot - you could try lightening it just a little but watch that the parts that are already light don't get washed out
What a peaceful, refreshing place! Personally, I would try cropping the bottom left-hand side so that some of the busy trees on the right were cut out. If it doesn't look right to you, then leave it, but it seems it might make the path more of a focal point. Secondly, try adding a soft light layer, adjusting the opacity if needed. Soft light makes greenery brighten and deepen, bringing out the warmth of it. Just some ideas for you to try... OH, and one more thing - make a copy layer and try burning the edges just a touch, then go back and see if it looks better with or without by clicking that layer on and off. Sometimes I like it better, sometimes I don't.
